Bomber’s new Cable Control Plate applies pressure on the tongue to bring the head down. The Control Plate l applies softer pressure than the Elliptical due to a larger surface area. The plate is set at a 45-degree angle to allow it to sit flat on the tongue. The cable offers a “spring-back” action together with the elimination of the links joining the 3 pieces which further reduces pressure in all areas, making this softer than the conventional Control Plate.
Bombers lifetime guarantee does not cover bits that can be chewed. We have no control over how the bit is fitted and how it is cared for over its lifetime.
If the cable is flexed sufficiently on a single point, or if the horse gets it between their teeth, the covering can break, this allows moisture to enter the covering and erosion begins to take place. Over time, the erosion will worsen, and the cable will break. It is vitally important to check our equipment regularly to ensure that it is still in good shape.
The functionality of the mouthpiece comes from the Cable, there is no other way to achieve the mechanics.
When destruction testing the cable bits, they out survived all other mouth pieces. As long as the covering stays intact to protect the inner core.
