Description
Beris Mullen Comfort Pelham 7cm Shank
Using a variety of pressures, the Mullen Pelham is an incorporation of the Weymouth and bradoon, and should theoretically be used with 2 reins, the first rein attached to the snaffle rein, and the second rein attached to the ring at the bottom of the shank, when the first rein is used the Pelham acts like a hanging cheek snaffle, putting slight pressure on the poll and whilst using even pressure across the tongue. Once the curb rein is engaged the leverage and lip pressure are increased as well as activating the curb chain. The greater the shank length the more leverage is applied.
soft very supple and pleasant in the mouth with a flexible steel core giving high security, particularly for sensitive or young horse
hard/firm – the material is firm and no-flexible whilst very pleasant in the mouth, for very strong or horses that lean. A less cumbersome alternative to Vulcanite.
